Australia's weather can differ greatly from state to state. Even in the hottest part of summer the south eastern states can experience quite cold weather. Although it doesn't happen every year. It has been known to snow in the snowy mountains of New South Wales, Victoria & Tasmania in the middle of summer. Winter is very cold in the eastern states of NSW, VIC and TAS and yet it is very pleasant around the tropical ranges of Queensland. Head wear is a must on sunny days and care should be taken to not get sun burn.
Airport transfer shuttle buses operate out of most airports right around Australia. Cost can be a little as $5 per person. Taxi's are readily available at every airport. Cost varies depending on travelling distance.
